I absolutely just loved the entire set up of the king suite room! very comfortable room just as much as the couch/ tv area. Also, the fact that its right in the middle of downtown so food spots, convenient store, shopping center, boutiques, museums, exhibits, and more within walking distance so you reallylly don't need to spend extra money on Ubers or taxi's. Better yet you don't have to use your car risking losing your parking spots so its nice to know everything was like a 5 minute walk no more no less.
BIG shout out to Tim !!! he was such GREAT help and went above and beyond to be extra helpful and super kind

The innkeepers were beyond helpful and kind. They made wonderful recommendations on restaurants, museums and attractions. We will most definitely stay here when we return to Salem.
Such an interesting historical gem of a city. Lots to explore, contemplate and take in. You absorb the witchy vibe in a cool way, but then keep exploring the museums, waterfront, parks and fantastic shops and restaurants. Like a mini-Boston, but more focused.

Anybody that is in to the type of stuff in Salem would love it. Could spend a week there just looking at all the shops. Then you have the tours and self guided paths, you really just have to research what you are into.

Salem is a fun place to visit.
Salem is a fun place to visit. Lots of attractions and activities to keep you busy. Food was great and many places to choose from. We liked Reds, Dire Wolf Tavern and Carmel Patisserie.
I would highly recommend any time of year because of the variety of attractions and places to visit. The Witch Dungeon Museum and the Witch House were among my favorites to visit.
Awesome place for a girls get away. We were able to walk everywhere and see what we wanted. The boutiques and shopping were awesome.
We also did a Psychic Reading and a Witches Circle and Witch City Walking tour. We loved all of them. I would definitely come back and do them again.

The history of Salem is just so..
The history of Salem is just so.. Interesting, colorful, fasinating, rewarding and a little sad. What human beings can doing to each other is unbelievable in both evil and good ways.
We stayed at the Salem INN and loved it. Ate at Turners, Rockafellas and some other places that slip my mind. These two were great.
Used the trolly and walked alot.

The museums moved along quickly and provided a hood educational background of the Salem Witch trials. I purchased a multi pass ahead of time, which I usually do to offset expenses/time when vacationing. Suggest you book ahead the tour of The House of Seven Gables. There were plenty of good restaurants to choose from and all staff at each eatery were more than pleasant and excellent wait staff. I would not recommend for families with children younger than 10/12, and unfortunately the museums are not intended for those with physical handicaps (steep wooden staircases which lend to historical preservation).
Good location, walkable to the station and lots of restaurants. Really good breakfast that you can eat inn or grab and go, breakfast options rotate too. Loved continuous coffee and tea available for free in the lobby all day. Our room was huge and good facilities (microwave, fridge, coffee machine etc). Had to do some work video calls and hotel wifi was fast enough for that
Such an incredibly beautiful house to stay in. So many special details, trinkets and artworks to peruse throughout the home. Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Some really lovely breakfast options to choose from in the mornings. Location was fantastic. Would love to stay again if I ever make it back to Salem.
There’s no breakfast available, however there were restaurants close by. The staff is available by text every day. They reach out several times a day. We prefer to decline housekeeping in hotels due to the electronics we travel with. This was not an issue with the staff. We would definitely stay here again.
The Merchant is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are exceptionally appointed, and the location couldn't have been more perfect. Lovely having snacks available on each level. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Salem who is looking for an elevated historic hotel experience.
We were in the micro king room and we were not disappointed. The room is small but that’s what we signed up for. There was enough room for two grown adults to be comfortable and enjoy everything Salem and the hotel had to offer. We loved the rooftop bar, GET THE NACHOS
Everything! The location was perfect. You can walk to any attractions. The room was clean and spacious. We loved the patio behind the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, reserved and ready when we arrived. The staff were very friendly. We loved our stay!
My mother-in-law and I shared a large room with two queen-sized beds, and there was plenty of room for us to get around each other. The hotel was basically in reasonable walking distance from all of the main attractions of Salem, so we walked everywhere!
This hotel is beautiful and the breakfast and snacks especially the cookies were wonderful. I couldn't have loved it more. The location is fantastic. So comfortable and stylish plus staff are very helpful!
Great location in the heart of Salem (across the street from the Common and the Hawthorne Hotel event space).
The owners were friendly.
The historic space is beautifully cared for.
Comfortable, clean and spacious room. Nice up to date decor. High ceiling, Good Roman curtains and comfortable King bed, On a pedestian commercial street in the the Center of old Salem.
Location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. ALL of the attractions were literally a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to everybody going to Salem.
I liked the old historic feel of the hotel and the spice smell in the lobby. I liked the sanitation stations everywhere. Room service was quick and delicious. Location was great!
The location was right in the heart of Salem and so convenient for everything! Absolutely loved the rooftop bar the food and drinks were delicious and the views were gorgeous!
