Room was well designed into two rooms. All very comfortable. I spent a whole day in the room one day working and found it all very pleasant. The view was of the Remarkables which is spectacular. The breakfast was help yourself with a very wide range of choices but after a week of exactly the same menu some people might find it monotonous. Perhaps poached eggs instead of scrambled as a choice.

There are lots of places to eat, easy to get to everything, just be mindful of the cost we didn't realise Queenstown/New Zealand was so expensive but didn't stop us enjoying everything we did, Gondola, Shot Over River, Onsen, TSS Earnslaw Cruise, Helicopter flight ever drove around to see other small towns and the countryside. Excellent place to visit

Queenstown is expensive for sure but a quaint town with numerous activities available in both the town and the surrounding area, therefore offers both relaxation and adventure depending on your mood. I went during May, therefore the snow hadn't set for which I believe skiing is a popular activity in the region and adds to the landscape with the snow covered mountains surrounding the city. Ensure you have enough money as there are plenty of other places around the South Island to stay which would be cheaper. I enjoyed Milford Sound but they were having a "drought" as it hadn't rained in 2 weeks therefore not as many waterfalls on display but still beautiful. I would go up top to do the luge and paragliding, but don't do the luge if you are tall (I'm 6'4") as there aren't any big enough for you. I also visited Arrowtown which is a nice village just outside to visit with a great vibe. Other activities I would recommend are also jet-boats and plenty of opportunities for bungee and possibly skydiving as this is very temperamental in Franz Josef where we booked and it was cancelled, therefore either here or Abel Tasman is a safer bet.

I spent quite a bit of time around downtown Queenstown. It was very easy to get around and the people were quite friendly and helpful.
I ate at the "Boardwalk" and "Flame" -- both on the wharf side. I was disappointed in the food at the Flame (pork ribs), and also that the waiters didn't explain how large a portion I was ordering. In many NZ restaurants, you have a choice of ordering a "Main" or "Entree" portion. I enjoyed eating at the Boardwalk more.
The scenery is exceptionally beautiful there and the energy of the town was incredible to experience! I'm so glad I decided to visit Queenstown!

This was our fourth visit to Queenstown from Auckland, and the 3rd time staying at the Heritage Hotel. Because there are numerous road works around the town at present( May 2024) and also having to pay for parking everywhere we found it easier to go in by bus and leave the car at the Hotel which gave us more freedom to walk, sight see and get around.
There are an abundance of eateries around Queenstown. Pog Mahones Irish pub. Eriks fish and chips food truck, and of course the famous Fers burgers. A short drive by car or on the bus is the the new shopping centre at Franklin not far from the airport , which takes around 15 mins, where we had lunch at Billy`s cafe, and also lunch at the Coffee club.
In Queenstown, we took the Lunch time cruise on the Earnslaw steamboat up to Walter peak sheep station. Beautiful lunch and scenery.
walked around the Botanical gardens.
Its a lovely drive by car or bus to Arrowtown you can go one way and return via lake Hayes. While there pop into the Fork and tap pub.

The traffic management situation is problematic.
The traffic management situation is problematic. Queenstown seems to be overloved causing traffic issues which are exacerbated by road works all over the place. Don’t expect to solve the parking riddle easily.
Apart from these issues Queenstown is great place with great scenery and a good vibe.

Beautiful landscapes and scenery, lot of places to try different foods and activities to do and Queenstown is a stones throw away from the outer towns e.g. Cardrona, Wanaka, Cromwell, Arrowtown which we visited. Definitely worth a visit and the drive and scenary were spectacular. We went on two jet boat rides, to the Onsen Spas and up the Gondala for dinner at the Stratosphere Restaurant (food was great but it was very busy). Had our first Ferg Burger which was delish!! Overall, a great trip!!
The hotel was brilliant. The staff were so friendly and really went the extra mile, offering to help carry my bags up to my room and being incredibly accommodating. The room was very clean, and they had provided a free bottle of water due to the Queenstown water contamination, which was a great touch as I had completely forgotten! The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Queenstown which was really handy, and not too far from the airport. I’d absolutely stay here again.
The property is so besutiful. The staff were helpful and friendly at all time. While dining at the restaurants , theres beautiful views of the lake. I will definitely stay here again when in Queenstown.
The property is about a 15-20 minute walk from the airport but there’s essy access to busses too. Watertaxis come by the hotel every hour , that travels to and from Queebstown city centre.
There’s also a few walking trails within easy access from the hotel.
Level 6 balcony. (Fire place for colder days)
Social rooms looked good and had potential if wanted to stay in with groups.
Staff friendly.
Vending machines (free tea, coffee, choc milk); plus paid snacks was convenient.
Sanitizer etc
Ghd straighteners and hairdryer.
Central location, 6 minute walk to Fergs.
Less expensive than larger hotels (but compact room).
Close enough to restaurants and bars that didn't matter that no restaurants in-house.
The Queenstown House Hotel is conveniently located above the busy central area. Its warm and friendly staff is available and caring, and happy to answer any questions guests may have.
Rooms are clean with nice bathrooms. The Hotel has free laundry facilities throughout. This is a great perk whether you are skiing, hiking or just hanging out.
Breakfast was included and that was good too.
We hope to visit again.
This new hotel beside the Airport is a great stopover option for Queenstown. The hotel facilities themselves are great - modern, clean, comfortable apartments with everything you need (including a washer and dryer). And within close vicinity of the hotel there are shops and restaurants. The 15min walk to the airport is easy, making travel to/from Queenstown much easier than a central Queenstown stopover.
The property is so kid and family friendly. We spent our Christmas here. the view outside the house is so stunning. The view is so breathtaking specially during the sunset.. Very near queenstown skyline. Complete amenities, very spacious and clean. Very kind and considerate host. Highly Recommended, Best Value for money.Looking forward to staying here again.thank you!
Located just a few minutes drive from the centre of Queenstown. The Hotel offers a courtesy bus to drop you off and pick you up which is very helpful. Beautiful views from the room of the mountain and lake. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and showed us to our room with a quick tour. The room was a large size and featured a spa bath and fantastic shower.
Great location. Everything about the hotel is exceptional. Quality of facility, rooms, service, breakfast, cleanliness, all very good. Loved the complimentary cocktail hour every evening, great way to meet fellow guests over canapes and a glass (or two) of wine. The hotel is not cheap, but it is very good value!
Lots of shops, supermarket, aquatic centre as well as airport close by. Good size room for a hotel making the stay very comfortable. Stylish decor and thoughtful details making it a lovely stay. Had fun with the board games in the lobby, which was surprisingly buzzing for a hotel lobby!
Hotel is not in the centre of Queenstown but there is a walkway over the road that leads directly into queenstown which we quite liked. Rooms were beautiful, very comfortable and we had a lovely 4 night stay at the end of 2 very busy weeks touring North and South island.
This hotel was great value for more money. Central location off the main road to Queenstown. The view is stunning. The bathroom is modern and clean. I would be happy to stay here again. Parking was reasonably easy. Potentially a little tight if you have a large vehicle.
Amazing Room - Really spacious with a kitchenette included with fridge, microwave + hob. The whole building is clean, the parking out front is very useful and the sauna was an added bonus! The location is a ~10 minute walk to the centre of Queenstown, so not too bad.
It was something cheap and central, which is rare in Queenstown.. relatively transient movement with no real meaningfully exchanges other than to talk about places visited... and not much location for that, or at least i didn't know about one.
The location is great as there's a bus stop right above the hotel.
It's also a short walking distance to the Queenstown central. The hotel provided complimentary shuttle service to the central.
The bathroom is relatively new and quite clean.
This house up on a beautiful hill overlooking the water. Parking and access was so easy. We were able to drive into the downtown Queenstown area so quickly. Our family loved the set up of the house and the spectacular views.
Interesting decor, the hotel has a strong identity in what they aim to do environmentally. Easy to catch a bus into Queenstown centre. Great local restaurant. Enjoyed using the sauna.
