Breakfast was very good. Location was fabulous even though the rain and wind was wild….lol

Breakfast was excellent as always. One of the reasons we stayed there was the cafe on property.
Since 1972 Cape Ann Marina has been family-owned and operated focusing on the needs of the traveler, a destination by land or sea, and for our boaters a second home.

The Location. It was near everything. Plus looking at the dock and the boats.

The location of this hotel is so perfect! Right on the ocean, it was beautiful to wake up and sit on the patio and watch the surfers and listen to the ocean. The hotel is very cozy and gives older costal colonial vibes. I felt like I was staying at my grandparents summer beach house. The staff was so nice, parking was easy, and it’s a close drive to Salem and Rockport where you can explore cute little shops and restaurants. The only thing I wasn’t expecting is that you don’t have a private balcony, it’s just open to anyone to walk by. I was hoping to sleep with the patio door open and listen to the ocean at night, but anyone could walk by your patio door. Also, the walls are thin, so you can hear the neighbors or guests outside, but it was pretty quiet while we were there, even though it seemed there where a lot of visitors staying at the hotel. It’s nothing fancy, but it was clean and comfy, and really fit the old Massachusetts costal vibes we were hoping for. It met all of my expectations and we really enjoyed our stay!
This Gloucester bed and breakfast is directly across from the harbor and features uniquely styled rooms, each with a private bathroom. Various shops and restaurants are within a 10-minute walk.

The lighting and location were both magnificent. When I booked, I told them I was needing to use the kitchen to feed four people. I wasn’t going to cook. I brought food with me. Soups and stews. I couldn’t heat them in one batch. There was one small pot and three soup spoons and three bowls. Not the biggest deal. But disappointing since I asked specifically. The shower backed up to my ankles. It would have been deeper , but the hot water lasted ran out quickly. This location was a splurge. I was the only one sleeping there. My son lives locally in a small apt. I could have stayed in a high end hotel, but wanted to have a place to gather with my sons. I specified that. After not having hot water, I called the number they left. They were so gracious and upset that both those things happened. The cleaning service ( or management group) was held responsible and I was promised a 20% refund which I never received. It’s been 7 weeks. I tried contacting owners, they no longer answer.
Gloucester is pure magic. The location is great. This was a major disappointment. Especially having booked accommodations way out of my price range.
I have never written a negative review before. It pains me to write this one b/c I was so certain the owners would do the right thing and make sure that booking.com did the same. I will post an update if I finally get my 20%.
Just a 7-minute walk from Good Harbor Beach and 1.1 miles from Long Beach Rockport, Ocean Breeze-8min Walk to Beach features accommodations in Gloucester with a garden.

We appreciated that the property was close to Gloucester and Rockport. We appreciated the cleanliness and amenagment of the
apartment. The price is reasonable and incite to come back.

We went to Gloucester to go to an exhibit at the Cape Anne Museum. The only problem with Gloucester in general is that all parking is metered and limited to 2 hours within any given zone. This means it is impossible to really enjoy the downtown. We had wanted to go to the museum and then wander around the town and shops. Two hours is not enough time for that. And we were in the off season when, at least, you could find parking. It must be awful in the summer. Too bad.

Gloucester is located in one of the most historic and picturesque areas north of Boston. Rockport and the Cape Ann area are just a few easy miles from Gloucester.
I highly recommend a 2-3 night stay in Gloucester.

Never found downtown Gloucester but did eat at some fabulous places in the town and stopped in cute nearby Rockport. Lots of beautiful and clean beaches to choose from. Better than Cape Cod! We ate at a little diner down the road and at the fantastic Seaport Grill. Worth every penny. Just order less than you want. Portions are gigantic.

Gloucester is a quaint little beautiful town.
Gloucester is a quaint little beautiful town. However, everything closes very early with short hours of operation. Be prepared to eat early or may not find places open. Bookings for tours were sold out for the only day we were available. Will book ahead next time.
Adorable, cozy apartment! I loved the updated, modern farmhouse decor. There were two bedrooms on the main floor & a bigger attic bedroom on the top floor with its own sitting area & TV.. Perfect for my teenagers to take over for our stay! The kitchen & living room are nicely laid out and have everything you need. It is tucked back in a quaint neighborhood that is only a 5 minute drive to downtown Gloucester. I would definitely come back again!
Our stay at this Gloucester gem was nothing short of magical! From the cozy interiors to the breathtaking ocean views, every detail was perfection. The hosts' hospitality made us feel right at home, and the proximity to local attractions added an extra layer of convenience. If you're looking for a picturesque retreat, this vacation home is an absolute dream. Can't wait to come back and create more unforgettable memories!
It was a motel style property, the rooms having lovely views across to Good Harbour Beach and the sea. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental style but sufficient. Good parking area and easy access to Gloucester and Rockport etc. The beach is a short walk. The pool is heated and a reasonable size with sun beds and shades.
This motor inn is located right on the ocean. There is a deck that runs along the ocean side with stairs down to the beach, and the room had a sliding window wall. If the weather had been warmer, we could have walked on the beach. Beautiful views! This would probably be a great site for much warmer weather and people who love the beach!
Our room was cozy and comfortable and very clean. Staff was very helpful - when we needed to book another room last minute for our son, they made it happen with no problems. For that I am very grateful! I will definitely come here again if I get back to Gloucester! Thank you!
Felt very comfortable as soon as we arrived after a long journey. Lovely staff, very clean and good facilities. On the edge of town for Gloucester and close to the lovely town of Rockport. Had two great meals at Charlies (which you can walk to) and Lobstaland.
Great hotel. We enjoyed our stay there. Good location with ocean view rooms. Very clean, Good beds, bath, heating and AC. Nice, friendly staff. Good breakfast on a terrace with a sunrise view. Would stay there again and recommend to friends.
customer service and proximity to where we wanted to be and what we wanted to do. The hotel IS in the middle of a remodel and they are trying hard to meet everyone's needs. We just happened to get a room that hadn't seen some new love yet.
Had a great stay in Gloucester at John's Inn.
Everything was well taken care of. Friendly hosts happy to help and talk about the area. Wonderful experience staying in a historic New England house right on the harbor.
Love the location. The hotel was right in the middle of all my outings, that was excellent. My longest destination was 12 mins. The young lady at the front desk was super friendly and outgoing, a beautiful soul!
The beach was unbelievably beautiful, the hotel was so close to anything we needed, meals, groceries etc. ; and the staff were incredibly kind and knowledgable. And Bert the parrot was a gem!
Everything was great. Location, view of bay, the host was so very nice. Would love to have spent more time there. Will definitely plan another trip to Gloucester, and stay there again.
Location was great, half way between Stage Fort Park and downtown Gloucester. We walked everywhere. The owner, John, was very friendly and knew everything about the area.
